Why do I like it:

Don’t be tricked, this is NOT a duet, but two different songs; two different songs from the SAME series, with the same title, same melody, and SIMILAR lyrics. Basically, in the series, there was this love triangle involving Kevin, Charmaine and Tavia. Kevin and Charmaine are in love. Tavia is the unlucky one. She knew Kevin first, she liked him first, but she will never get him, because she is way to shy, and also because, Charmaine is the only one Kevin likes. The song we all know about first is Kevin’s version, which describes the story from HIS point of view. Towards the end of the series, we finally get to hear TAVIA’s version, which describes the story from HER point of view. Just a few phrases changed, you get to understand the story from a totally different angle. For example, the first line, Kevin sang, “Wanting to create a new story with ‘her’ (Charmaine)”. Tavia sang, “Never told you the STORY in MY heart”. Somewhere in the chorus, Kevin sang “If you want things to become better, don’t hide away”. Tavia sang, “I want things to become better, but I can’t help hiding away”. Tavia’s song describes the struggles of one-sided love so well. I think this idea is really interesting, and it worked perfectly well. 2 songs, 2 different perspectives, and a complete story…
