In this scene, Kevin and Niki were having a cold war. From Kevin's POV, he is very hopeful, he thinks everything between he and Niki can be solved. From Niki's POV, she has many insecurities and struggles inside which no one can understand. That night, she took out her violin, and began playing a song.... many many times...

This is Kevin, waiting at the restaurant, looking hopeful...
This is Niki, taking out her violin, looking a little uncertain
She starts playing the song for the first time
Meanwhile, you realise Kevin is still waiting at the restaurant, the wait is getting a little long... This is when you realise Niki will not be turning up at all
The second time Niki played the song, she played it a little faster, meanwhile, Kevin was starting to feel hopeless... Niki then plays it even faster, with many extra notes. This is when you really start to feel her confusion, frustration and sorrow...
Kevin is finally leaving the place, Niki still doesn't want to stop playing...
The sixth time Niki plays the song, the string breaks. Niki finally wakes up. The song is over, the date is over, but both hearts are still aching...

Why do I love this scene:
This scene has no dialogues at all. The expressions, the music, the body language of the characters tell you everything you need to know and everything you need to feel, especially Niki's side. Kevin's pain of waiting, Niki's pain of keeping someone waiting, the whole idea is packaged so well in this scene. Not a single dialogue, but I still love this scene

In ONE lift, Raymond and Charmaine shared many scenes together, most of which are very cute, BUT I only have the luxury to share ONE here. The dialogue is pretty simple, but it is just so funny, all thanks to Raymond and Charmaine's hidden comedy skills. ~.~

The scene happens in episode 15. Mandy knows that Daniel likes her (she does not like him). She also knows that Daniel is finding a chance to express his feelings. She is really freaked out. She tries everything to avoid Daniel, BUT when Daniel has a crush on you, he really STALKS. Hahaha

I think Raymond's expression is so funny!

Mandy: Oh yes, (interrupts again), that interview about the teochew dishes, I've seen it, but there are some problems with the photographs, so I would like to shoot it again.

Daniel: Okay, shoot it, shoot it. I know maybe some things are a little too fast for you, but...

Mandy: HAVE YOU HEARD THAT Kevin is learning how to make noodles, he wants to be a cook you know! (interupts AGAIN. Mandy tries to sound excited, it's really cute!)

Daniel: Kevin wants to be a cook then let him be a cook lor. Can you please let me finish the whole sentence? (Haha, I just love how Raymond said this!)

Mandy: (looking relieved) Here we are!

*lift turns dark*

Mandy: Eh? What happened?

Daniel: I think the lift broke down.

Mandy: Broke down?

Daniel: Sometimes fate is so unpredictable you know... (HAHA!)

Mandy: Help! We're trapped!!

Daniel: Relax...














Mandy: Quick, get someone to open the door and let me get out of this place!! Let me out. LET ME OUT!!

Daniel: Everything is destined. It's useless. (lol...)

Mandy: What do you want??

Daniel: Even though I look very playful usually, I am very serious about you you know... I understand what you worry about. You just lost your boyfriend. Starting a new relationship so soon will raise a lot of rumours, but you should not think this way. You must learn to live for yourself.














(The way Ray said this was really funny)

Mandy: You are wrong, I am not afraid of rumours at all. There is nothing between us at all! I only think that the timing is not right.

From dialogues to monologues, from monologues to silence; this favourite scene recap is getting really fun! I shall aim to recap as many scenes as possible before term starts. (:

Today's scene: Twin Of Brothers- Raymond Lam's disappearance

This is an infamous scene, which converted many people into Raymond fans, including myself. Without a single dialogue, this scene can make you cry till your eyes become dry. Raymond's death in TOB had a huge impact on many fans. It made them really paranoid. Haha. It's really funny how everyone fears that Raymond would die in all his subsequent series ever since, especially TLB, LWOLAP and FTF. Before even one third of the series is aired, some fan will say, 'oh no, is Raymond going to die??' It really amused me. haha. Is that why the producers don't dare to kill off Ray's character ever again? I don't think so la. But now we know, Kau Chung's death had a powerful impact on everyone, including myself. (I watched this scene ??? times) So right now, let's go through the emotional torture again...

This is the scene where Myolie tells her father about how useless she is. Ahh it's so sad. I'm putting it under my collection because it's a scene which can touch everyone's hearts. I believe many of us (including Myolie in TGA) experienced the same feeling before. When you are pursuing your dream, not only do you need determination to persevere, you also need lots and lots of courage...

Gordon: If you haven't come back to help, I would panick!
Myolie: Why don't I come back to help you next time?
Myolie: This is where I really belong. Only in this place, my existance is worth something
Gordon: Are you unhappy working in the cake shop??
(Myolie shakes her head)
Myolie: I met Ah Leung again. She is marrying that rich girl...
Gordon: Men who depend on women to get rich are worthless!
Myolie: I'm not unhappy because he is getting married. Thinking back, I did so many things, opening a cakeshop, learning to bake cakes, using up all my savings. I'm already 25 and I'm still a trainee!
Myolie: You guys are right to scold me. I really have no talent in baking, it's just that I don't admit it... Right now, the pastries I bake are still burnt! There's only 200 dollars in my bank account, every month, I need to borrow money from my cousin to give you allowance.
